Waiting for the mail.. by maggiemae

Waiting for the mail..

Our stay here was for 2 days, our choice - to wait out the ghastly weather that often hits this area. I developed a cold which didn’t help my memories but nothing a good wallop of whisky wouldn’t help!

Put this in the song challenge =" Please Mr Postman"

Three Good Things:
1 I took a walk down the windy road to the beach in spite of John saying I was so silly! Got some lovely scenes as here.
2. A lovely plump red hen scratched right outside our caravan and as I had got the porridge quantity wrong - 1 pint instead of what should be 1 and 1/2 cups meant there was porridge left over! This hen got right into this!
3. Really fresh blue cod for lunch has to be the best meal!
Love this...

I love the little chappie with the blue base cap and yellow face -- they do look like a row of naughty school boys !!

Sometimes a breath of air blows away the bugs, but primarily no one quite understands that us 365ers have to brave the great outdoors hail rain or snow to get that photo! Hens love porridge! We used to give the hens the porridge pan to clean out, porridge sticks sometimes, I tried it with ours here but they were frightened if the pan & ran away!

@happypat These two hens remembered my porridge from yesterday and when I stepped out of the caravan they scampered over to me then trailed me as I wandered over to the toilets! I felt like the Pied Piper!

Nicely composed and very colourful! So is the postman's vehicle equipped with the steering wheel on the left side?
November 30th, 2016
I think he just goes right on to the left and doesn't worry about it - probably only 2 vehicles go up this road per day!
November 30th, 2016
Depending who is the most colourful one.

Excellent shot for the song. I really like all the different "personalities" of these mailboxes. Good catch.
