A lunch beside the breakwater in Oamaru is always good. I processed this one using solariser. Quite liked the effect.
Three good things:
1 A good riesling and a seafood platter was just delicious! We even had a dessert - upside down apple pudding with walnut ice-cream!
2. A party across the road looked ominous at 6.30pm, less ominous at 9pm but deadly at 10.30! The thump thump of the music was going to be difficult. Good thing is we have double glazing.
3. Yawning must be a signal to go to bed before 12.00 am - probably not true but that’s my excuse!
Cool effect and opposite of what your weather must be like right now! I hope the thumping subsided at a decent hour- although it doesn't sound like it. Have a great new year!

I love your processing, Maggiemae. The clouds and the water look amazing. Too bad about the music. I do not care for it, especially when we can hear it with all windows closed while watching tv. Hoping tonight is not too bad here. Happy New Year to you and John. FAV
@darsphotos Thanks Darlene - your New Year will arrive in a flourish, I know! Ours has - the party across the road is so quiet it's unnatural but I'm not complaining!
@maggiemae Yes- very true. It's so much nicer to have neighbors who are thoughtful. We were worried about what kind of folk might move in across the street, but it seems we have a nice quiet couple there. We'll see when summer rolls around and the windows are open, but so far, so good.
Dramatic shot and processing. I am so glad that I live in a quiet neighborhood. Well, most of the time it is quiet. I know that the neighbors to the north will shoot their firearms and shoot off fireworks at midnight (both are illegal in the city limits) to celebrate the new year.
@daisymiller Oh dear, Daisy - maybe this year they won't! The party opposite us turned their stereo down at 11pm and were quiet as mice! No thumping till 3am as in the past!
