To The Rescue.. by maggiemae

To The Rescue..

Yolanda has gone a bit too far - her choice of joining the Zone Rats! Drugs and alcohol feature too many times so she sent an urgent message to Mr Man. She knew he was working on his motorbike and really wanted to test it on the Bonneville Salt Flats and so might be very near!

The Salt Flats scene is not mine… but Mr Man is!

In this scene, I think Mr Man has deployed his own parachute to slow his speed down after the run!

Three good things;
1. He did a huge lot of modifications seemed to carry Mr Man over the threshold for making world record in his class of bike!
2. At the same time, he knew he could meet up with Yolanda and could extricate her from her precarious situation!
3. Lots of lovely sympathy messages from my friends! Thank you so much!
Beautiful process ing

My hero! Love that puff of smoke from the exhaust......a modern Burt Munro to the rescue! Yolanda is a minx, Mr Man is going to have to put his foot down!

Miraculous. Mr Man is truly at one with his bike.

@happypat He is now in the record books, Pat - fastest man in the West! On this bike. Helps to get to Yolanda's side as soon as possible!

You are so creative. You should write a picture book about the adventures of Yolanda and Mr. Man. FAV

Sadly, after I posted what the church told me, a friend found the true story on a historical blog about slavery in the area, and it is very much uglier. If you are interested, you can read about it here -- https://historicwanderings.blogspot.com/2012/11/harmony-united-methodist-church.html

I love your imagination, Maggiemae. You have created a very nice parachute for Mr. Man. Will there be a happy end?

Lost for words with these adventures!
March 17th, 2017
It looks and sounds as if there is going to be another speed record setter in the family! I am in awe of how you created this!

Now we're talking! If that bike sets a land speed record at the flats I'll be quite impressed. Nice touch with the Crown Royal "brake." Fav because you know why. ;-)
March 17th, 2017
@stray_shooter Yup, I do know, Ron and look forward to your comments! And you recognised the Crown Royal!!!
March 17th, 2017
The first thing I noticed was his parachute --I have a few of those lying around. Crown Royal used to be our favorite drink in the seventies.
What a great idea to come up with it for Mr Man to use. it looks like he's breaking the speed limit to get to his beloved Yolanda. hope he's in time to rescue her.

Perfect in so many ways!!!
March 18th, 2017
