Autumn Splendour by maggiemae

Autumn Splendour

I’m pleased to able to say , I wriggled out of the bottle and was able to go over the other side of our property to focus on our home in front of an autumn coloured tree. I have simplified both form and colour by paintifying this shot.

Three good things:
1. Our garden is looking so good with late roses, azaleas coming out off season.
2. Do you pronounce itinerary as Itinery or ‘itinerary”!
3. Our Garden Gurus came in and neatened everything - sometimes called ‘pruning’!
That works so well, loving that great big splash of colour , cheerful & bold, the best way to be in life!

Not so much of the bold, nowadays, Pat! Too nervous of being squashed! But the word cheerful is a happy one!

@maggiemae I get more bold the older I get! X

Great shot , colour and edit Maggie -- glad you wriggled out of the bottle ! -- must have been pretty claustrophobic experience !

@beryl I could actually see through the glass, Beryl so it wasn't too bad.

Glad you escaped, to paint this gorgeous bold autumn scene.

Glad you are free! This is lovely processing, just wonderful!

@helenhall It is bold but thats Autumn, I feel - full of vibrant colours before the winter brings change!
April 28th, 2017
I love the edit and the photo. I say 'itinerary"
April 28th, 2017
@grammyn You pronounce the two 'r's? We should do but a lot don't!
April 28th, 2017
@maggiemae Yes ma'am I do. So much of American English is sloppy speaking but that one for me is the only way to say it.
April 28th, 2017
Well done...love the colors :)
April 28th, 2017
I like the colors of your processing but am glad the fall colors are a distant memory right now! I say "I-tin-er-rare-ee" like Katy. I've never heard it pronounced otherwise- at least here in the USA.
April 28th, 2017
@olivetreeann I think the NZers and the Aussies are lazy and just leave off the extra 'er' which means they probably don't know how to spell it properly!

Love the color tones and processing! Fav!
April 28th, 2017
Lovely shot and lovely processing. A fav. P.S.#2 My husband would pronounce the word the first way. I would pronounce it the second way.

Glad you escaped

That is impressive DoF! Nice job on the painting!
April 28th, 2017
@skipt07 I would have quite liked to have the house rather blurred so my DOF wasn't what I wanted, Skip.

Lovely- painterly effect, love the colours!

Yes my dining room is my bedroom for another month or so, I was not allowed the op until I had the bed brought down and Occ
Therapy checked it was safe. The stairs are going to have to be negotiated when my fusion heals a bit more after my pot comes off.

Nice water coloury effect with all the bright colours xx

I love the way you have edited this photo - great with the autumn leaves. I wouldn't have thought of putting them in the centre like this, but love what you have done.
