A tune for Sunday by maggiemae

A tune for Sunday

The day after…….”when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse”

Taken from a delightful poem about St Nicholas. It also applied to our apartments - after a hard partying night! However, we stirred and drove out to son’s house in the woods. Their lovely grand piano here!
Three good things;
1. Granddaughter wanted to climb into our laps. I taught her that there were lots of words beginning with ‘D’ - Dad,G”dad, dog, drinks..drunkards! Well not exactly (the parents had motorcycled in to a movie leaving us in charge)
2. We got her to go to sleep after a few tears!
3. More thunder and downpours -nice to be inside and not to be on a motorcycle!
Awesome shot

I like the elegant evening feel of this shot- although I'm thinking you took it in the day during one of those thunderstorms. Very nice!

A very elegant looking picture. the lighting is perfect and to come to the well known poem you quoted....all I can say I love it.... but it seems we really don't know for sure who wrote it. I read about the big controversy between Clement Clark Moore and Henry Livingston who both claim to have written this poem o their children.
