After a few hiccups we ended up in Budapest. I do have to research the history of this place. John said he learnt it at school - I didn’t!
This is a very short distance from our latest hotel set in a building that was built in the 16th Century! The window sills are over a metre wide!
Three good things:
1. the flight from Belgrade to Budapest was only 40 minutes.
2. A lovely big room here - we could have a party - but we won’t!
3. I heard great Hungarian music from the next restaurant to ours - remember learning a Hungarian Mazurka at ballet as a young girl!
A beautiful image.
#3 I remember a violin player at our table somewhere in a hotel in Budapest long ago. He played the most beautiful Hungarian music for us...
Love that reflective pavement- John had a very thorough history education! Never been to Belgrade or Budapest but I booked Nigel into a really posh hotel there once for not much money!
@judithg Budapest is a lot more sophisticated yet 'cheap' than Belgrade which has 2 million people that seem well off but there is some really poor areas!
you are doing a fine line in night photography here. I do hope you are getting to enjoy more of the daylight too! Having said that, the castle looks great in the night light.
