On a cable car going up Mt Pilatus in Switzerland, we saw this out the window! I wonder when it is used!
We are 2132metres high up in a hotel perched on the rocks, surrounded by huge banks of snow! Quite incredible!
Three Good Things:
1. Hardly anyone in the hotel - too soon for skiers and too much snow for hikers.
2. Our cost here includes half board with a four course dinner that was cordon bleu! Amazing food so beautifully cooked and set out. Shrimps and avocado, parsley root soup, wiener schnitzel, apple pie with pineapple and a delicious and light vanilla sauce!
3. The TV transmitter was blown down in a fierce storm last week but there is internet here.
I think that trip to church would sorely test your faith! Can't see much if a congregation there somehow! Hotel sounds fantastic. Atbthis time of year you don't want to be wandering about looking for somewhere to have an evening meal.
Well that is quite an astonishing place for a church. I cant see a car park! Well taken from the cable car - beautiful scenery (but then you are in Switzerland - quite a contrast to Prague).
how do people get there at all! one has to b really really pious to be attending mass there. my sister goes to mass every morning. i will tell her about this. :-D aces on the shot, maggiemae.
