There's nothing much to do here other than watch the tide come in! The birds are just seagulls and the people are in campervans lining the seafront.
As it is a freedom camping area, there are no facilities, no power (my computer is about to shut down), no internet, of course.
Three good things:
1. Take great pleasure in surviving - be it in luxury!
2. Pork sausages taste good while looking at this view.
3. Kaiaua. I can never remember how to spell this. Or pronounce it! Don't really care!
What a beautiful view to be eating your sausages by! Lovely colour in the sky and reflections on the water. I’d rather be sitting there eating sausages than here in cold snowy England!
I can think of worse places to be where nothing happens. love the reflected colour in the sea and the whole peaceful scene. I guess you will be moving on soon then....
Lovely - is this ‘Ray’s Rest?’ If so, just South a couple of km is a neat bird information place and a wee bit further again a bird hide. You may still see a few godwits if they haven’t already departed for Siberia.
@dide Yes,Dianne it is - amazing place! Didn't see the info place or the hide! No godwits but a formation of birds with black spots on their wings flew past!
