The last journey took us home on a cold, drizzly winter’s day. We remember the hot temperatures of the last few months in all sorts of scenes - beaches, rivers, historic hotels, mountainsides etc.
Three good things:
1. Doesn’t pay to go over our experiences while waiting for sleep - too much to quieten the brain.
2. Safe and sound.
3. Nearly every battery in the house was flat but the wood burner worked so well!

I recognise that place. What beautiful light, how nice to be home! You must have so many memories from this last trip, and I'm sure you've seen more of NZ than most kiwis have!
@kiwichick I'm quite sure we have seen more, Lesley! We planned our journey with visits with friends and family but outside of that- we just chose our destination, how remote didn't matter as we were self contained!
