Solstice sun by maggiemae

Solstice sun

Thanks for all your input with photo books…. I was pleased to realise that others had the same idea as I did - share - really good photos!
This was a Solstice photo - the low afternoon light pinpointed my flower arrangement (that has been the same as when I bought it - 20 years ago!) in focus.
Three good things:
1. Another focus was on the recently ironed table top mat from the 1960’s. It has been in my cupboard waiting to be ironed for some years!
2. Another member of the family is on a world trip to tie up with their own family! They have used a ‘secret group’ on FB to keep us up to date.
3. Solstice used to be an excuse for a party years ago! Thank goodness I don’t have to organise this again!
Lovely light , we have sun today so nice

This lighting is beautiful! I still have silk flower arrangements that were given to us when we bought our first home 37 years ago ...Nice to know that others keep theirs also :).

@dsp2 They are so expensive to buy now! You do have to dust which I do.... now and then!

@haskar Well, it wasn't me - some artistic bird! But I have always appreciated the balance and the construction of each individual flower!

I did a Solstice photo too of the moon but missed it off, I have posted it anyway. Lovely sun hitting your flowers! A good glowing photo! My son & DIL are in Dunsandel at the moment visiting Alex, they are cold! ❄️ Doesn't help that it's granddaughters first house & basic heating of only woodburner! You are so hardy compared to us soft pampered central heating folks!

I was wondering how you had all those colourful flowers during your winter! A sunny spot to show them off.
