daffodils in the rain

It rained all day, not hard but continuously. The wee daffodils put their heads down and their tiny umbrellas up! Golden umbrellas!

Three good things:
1. More duplicate photos hit the floor.
2. The word, “like’ appears too often in our younger generation’s vocabulary. My, “like’ is what my man says!
3. Liebestraum…. I need to improve my approach to this wonderful composition!
Such cheerful flowers!

What a gorgeous sight, nothing like a bed of daffies.

Your description of the golden umbrellas is perfect!

beautiful color to these beauties! So refreshing to see them at the end of OUR summer!
#2 my pet peeve. My grandchildren get corrected by me all the time for it!

A great spring shot...The centers are so bright.

@grammyn Good for you - if Grandma doesn't like it they might not get their favourite meal!

@gijsje Yes Bep, it is - a line-up.

I agree with Katy - It is nice to see your spring beginning as our summer is ending. So bright and cheerful in the midst of the rainy gloom.

Spring is just around the corner. Please send us some of your rain, we desperately need it. Bushfires burning all across the State of NSW at the moment.

@onewing It doesn't work that way, Babs! Your weather generally comes to us! Our climate here where we live is the best! Some rain and lots of sunshine!

Lovely complement to the fallen leaves.

@s4sayer Yes, Margo - you can see the effects of winter here!

You play Liszt? I've always struggled with him as he had such big hands and I find it a stretch to manage an octave, a ninth at a push and a tenth is a jump!

Love the description of this cheerful display, despite the weather

@casablanca Very slowly, but I think I need to know when to use the left hand over the right for some notes!

@maggiemae Yes, an essential trick! What one of my music teacher pals does is play a new piece without any rhythm, just the notes all at equal length to get the fingering patterns right first, then adds in the rhythm afterwards. It actually makes it faster to learn and more accurate in the long run, though I was dubious the first time I tried it!

I like to see soft but steady rain. the daffodils just slightly bend their heads as with a downpour their lovely faces would be on the ground. how refreshing to see a sight like this. I wonder what our garden looks like after four weeks away.

ah, always lovely to see the daffs, sign of life, as they say, although we do have them on the opposite end of your seasons. i've been looking for a used piano so i can retire already. i should very much like to start lessons while i still have a sort of good memory.

Glowing in the gloom and rain - how lovely.

Lovely capture.

@summerfield Good for you - its a very creative skill and gives a lot of pleasure - to me, that is - don't know about those who are in listening range but John does clap after I've stopped! I've got one which plays the bass and you just play the top notes! But not Liebestraum!
