Wisteria hysteria by maggiemae

Wisteria hysteria

Waiting for the snow and rain to arrive , the sky was get and the wind was in the south.
Just outside the front door, the wisteria struggled to grow but the small green growth was positive!
Three Good Things:
! I played with settings to get a close up here.
2. Each photograph is a learning point. I looked at buying another zoom lens but the price of $NZ1800 put me off. A learning point with my one lens.
3. My great and latest book kept me going until the evening meant we needed to enjoy our own togetherness and not disappear into that book! It will wait!
Everything budding nicely! The Spring is so welcome after the glum cold winter. Your Winter using as long as ours....we are desperate at the end of ours to see buds such as this! Yes I agree must not have your nose in a book all the time!

@happypat Reading is a solitary pleasure but while there is one in your life still around, listening is a sharing pleasure!

Nice close up with lots of texture.

Lovely closeup, sorry to hear about the crook weather though. We manage the book thing at times by both burying noses therein.

Lovely shot of that fresh green, looking forward to seeing the beautiful flowers.

Lovely springtime image. Our Spring has disappeared today, it has gone blooming cold here. I do hope Spring comes back again soon.

@golftragic I do like that sort of scenario - you both feel connected and relaxed!

@onewing Its cold here too, Babs ... 5deg most of the day and rain. You get it before we do!
September 24th, 2018
@ludwigsdiana I'm sure the flowers won't be dismayed by cold temps here that are around at the moment!
September 24th, 2018
@maggiemae Very true!
September 24th, 2018
What happened to your spring weather? We are still in summer here with 90+ degrees! What book are you engrossed in, Maggiemae?
September 24th, 2018
Good fun to play, eh? What's the book, as CC said?
September 24th, 2018
@casablanca @gardenfolk I was so sad when I closed the book after finishing it...! "A Cornish Stranger' by Liz Fenwick. There was a lot of music in it which I could listen to on youtube! Opera and such wonderful melodies!
September 24th, 2018
@maggiemae It sounds interesting! I will have to look it up. :)
September 24th, 2018

September 24th, 2018

September 24th, 2018
@phil_howcroft Its not a macro, Phil - my camera won't allow that without buying a new lens. I just crop it right down and if my shot is very still, it works!
September 24th, 2018
@maggiemae Absolutely right.
