Once a lignite coal mine, now 17 acres of lake and garden. A photographers delight and I chose late evening to get this photo.
Three good things:
1. There was a cafe on site called the Lignite Cafe
2. The garden was called the Secret Garden. You don't see it until you peer over the side.
3. We had a peaceful night here - apart from all the birds singing their hearts out - at dawn - 6am!
@maggiemae I also meant to say that you have birds getting you up and we have Simba. He is an early riser and just keeps kneading and purring till I get up, at a quarter of 5:00. 😊
Wonderful little water lines where that duck is swimming.....beautiful soft glow here, your photos always have a bloom to them! Love all that early summer foliage!
