Christmas reading by maggiemae

Christmas reading

A lot of practice and different settings for this shot. The speed was the answer. Cut out the light without losing focus.
Our Xmas lights illuminated one of our bookshelves!
Three good things:
1. Busy town but I got lots of walking by parking well away from the centre!
2. I wish there was more time in the day to sit and read! Could I have just one hour more?
3. Another James Bond to watch that we hadn’t seen before - “Tomorrow Never Dies’!
Great work... I like the colour and subtle light.

Trying to read your titles in the half light!! Love low lights in the evening! I can empathise with your #2 GT!

@happypat At home I just feel so lazy sitting and reading but away in the van - read all day without a touch of guilt! You can see I like Rosanne Pilcher!

I agree on the extra hour per day for reading! Nice shot

@maggiemae Who doesn’t like she’s such a comforting writer! My mums very favourite book was September. Yes it’s uncanny that when at home we get the guilt factor.....glad you can relax on holiday but that’s the nub of the problem, home is busy! I do read lots at home, I bat away the guilt but then think I should be out getting exercise!

Nice work in getting it right in dim light

A marvelous photo! It does seem especially this time of year there’s never enough time to get everything done.

@beryl I think a bookcase is like an adornment for the living room, Beryl And placing them all at similar heights!

@taffy I was actually trying to make the conditions challenging. I wanted dark when it really wasn't, Taffy!

Well spotted and nicely captured. My not small bookcase is full of books that I cherish but don't have time to read much now as i fall asleep after reading a few pages.
