We have three growing plants of this species and not all of them produce flowers. The small white bells develop so slowly but when in shadow, look translucent.
Three Good Things:
1. The wind was making this wand of flowers waver but I got a good shot. Also learnt how to reduce my ISO on the camera.
2. We found some old DVD’s transcribed from the original tapes of our world trip in 1993. It’s taken a while to see them as the format is no longer recognised.
3. So warm today, I wore my black singlet all day! 30 degC!
Such a beautiful flower - so delicate for such a sturdy spiky plant . I use to have one in my garden and faithfully flowered year after year ,but was growing too near my pond with the roots starting to gravitate towards the pond - so unfortunately - it had to go !! Envious of yours and a fav
@beryl Thank you Beryl. I think it is one of the most beautiful creations of nature! We often miss these flowers as are away in the summer season. Home now and appreciating.
That is a very beautiful flower. I’ve heard of yukka but never seen it before, like little bells but it’s the light here that’s so lovely. Hot hot hot! 🥵
@stray_shooter I wanted to reduce the iSO from 200 which appeared to be the lowest and the camera had the option greyed out! I eventually found I could only do that if the shutter was on mechanical and not electronic!
