Ive been wanting to construct this scene from an artist I came about seeing a while ago. Called David Burliuk. I was entranced by his painting as seen on the left.
Three Good Things:
1. I had a good photo taken a year or so ago and used that to be the background of the flower arrangement that I put together.
2. I had the sunflowers but they weren’t on their last legs as in the painting. All adds to it.
3. Couscous -a food item I need to investigate.
Sweet.

@grammyn I found it a bit dry at first! Think I'll add eggs, cheese and basil and make it into patties!

a stunning image and extremely well executed, such a wonderful scene. I love Couscous and we eat it regularly, it does need sauce though. Also wonderful Couscous salads ;-)

@ludwigsdiana Yes, I am gathering that - maybe a substitute for potato? But I don't think it has the same nutritional value?

Clever you putting all this together. I'm sure the artist would be more than happy to see your version. Both pictures both scream summer - something I'm so looking forward to.

Well done! Lovely.

Well done, great result!

Couscous, like pasta, is made from Durum wheat and makes a great base for dishes that use sauces similar in consistency to those which accompany pasta. Like pasta, it can also be good with salads.
