Rose of the night by maggiemae

Rose of the night

I do love black backgrounds for so many different types of photography. In the middle of the afternoon in our garden, the darkness is not there so this is an experiment.
Could be good on the Black.

1. Watched some good programmes on TV on a lazy afternoon with grey skies.
2. Must get out and do some de-heading - the roses might go on.
3. Big, huge seedless white grapes!
FAV absolutley gorgeous and successful experiment!

Try freezing those grapes for a refreshing treat

@grammyn Never thought of that - wouldn't they go all mushy? Like strawberries do!

You got the black well, maybe a little radial filter dodge on the rose would be good?
April 28th, 2019
@golftragic radial filter dodge from what app?
April 28th, 2019
@maggiemae LightRoom. If you don't use that, just use a dodge from whatever you do use.

@maggiemae The rose is beautiful, BTW.

A wonderful image, did you have to pick the Rose for your experiment, or just cover the surrounding areas ;-)
April 28th, 2019
@ludwigsdiana No, I photographed the rose au naturally, then layered it on to a black background, Diana!

We like your #3 GT, no pips so easy to eat! I like black backgrounds too, they show flowers especially well.
