I try to park some way away from wherever I want to visit and this walk took me down the main highway. One of the poor houses was here, its iron fence falling down, weeds waist high in some parts! The paintings, I've never seen on a house before!
Three Good Things:
1. My visit to the optomotrist was successful with 2 renegade eyelashes pulled out!
2. A visit to a cousin who has recently shifted into town.
3. Vegetable soup.
So sad when you see a house like this - unloved! There is a house on the corner of my road which an elderly lady was living in. Always beautifully kept with gardeners every week. Sadly she died and it looks like the house has now been emptied and the garden ignored for a couple of months now. Grass waist high! Presumably waiting for someone to buy it. I wish they would get a move on as it looks so unloved now!
This house probably had so much charm when it was cared for on a regular basis. The paintings are interesting- I don't recall seeing anyone do that to a house before. Sorry to hear it's not the only one either. Sounds like a developer bought up the land and is waiting to demolish the homes for his own project.
very unusual to see those paintings - they look to have been very carefully and professionally done. hope someone can spruce the place up again before too long.
The eyelash episode sounds a bit ouchy!!! But better out than in!
