I do like to encourage birds (other than the cheeky starling) so put out this mixture.
I had read that putting a marshmallow into a container of brown sugar stopped it from going hard. The only size of marshmallow packet we could buy was huge. So I used some, added hot water, honey and a crust of bread.

1. It worked!
2. John’s book is so good, he was totally engrossed….. I put the TV on hold, waited….12 minutes later after I had pretended I was choking, he looked up!
3. Camellias on the coffee table.
They are beautiful birds. I haven't seen silver eyes in our neighbourhood until a few days ago. A friend and I saw a lot of them in the bushland near our library, it was such a lovely surprise
@maggiemae Yes we have I suppose, just were used to them & we take more notice of different varieties in other countries when we see them...love the American Humming bird for instance!
