I set my good camera with the right choices for a good full moon shot. Tried last night and the shot was too bright. Got the tripod organised, went outside in the dark……. and it was raining!
Now, this white feather…found in our garden…..with a bit of artistic licence!
To be thankful for:
“Have you ever found a white feather on the ground with no explanation as to how it got there? You may be pleased to discover that a white feather could be a gift from the angels above. Whether they’re reminding you to take care of yourself or simply notifying you of their presence, white feathers appear when angels are near.”
I’ve heard that before about white feathers, can be very comforting if you are grieving & are in mind to believe the it. This is a lovely capture of yours....a bit of moon dust you can feel perhaps!
I had always heard that finding a feather is receiving a letter from a bird - funny how these tales abound and the re-telling of them results in variations. I love the curve on the white feather on black
@kiwinanna Now no white birds fly over our property, not even seagulls! Maybe a white dove sent her blessings to me - I didn't know it then but my back would go into heap of pain!
@maggiemae That's not good . I hope your back pain eases off soon. I have come down with a cold which seems to have lodged in my chest (where all nasty bugs go if you are asthmatic) Off to the doctor on Wednesday hopefully to get some antibiotics to clear it up before we head down to Christchurch to meet the new grandbaby, and then to visit some old haunts on the West Coast with our whitebait net!
@kiwinanna Oh, you have to get on the antibiotics before you meet the grandbaby! Good luck with the whitebait. I have learnt with fritters not to use flour - use white fresh breadcrumbs!
@maggiemae Yes I agree but its been so long since I have had fresh whitebait to cook. I hope we actually catch some of the little blighters and I remember the eggs!
