Sideways.. by maggiemae

Sideways..

Taken over the roofs of downtown Oamaru towards our Town Clock, I tried to do an ICM sideways. With this low speed of course , it let a lot of light in. I should have modified the EV.
Thanks to all those who have sympathised with my back pain.

To be thankful for;
Oxtail stew once you have organised the extra time to cook!
Lovely old buildings.

A wonderful image. I love the clock tower kind of fading into the background, topped by that great “cap”.

Always good to experiment, I think it looks quite nice. A cross between high key and ICM.

I think it is great that you are trying different things with your camera in spite of your pain. Well done.

You certainly chose the perfect building for your experiment, it looks great. Ox tail is one of my all time favourite dishes in winter :)

@ludwigsdiana I think ICM is harder going sideways, Diana - it must be easier to make your camera go down rather than sideways!

Still striking image!

Hope your back settles soon, you poor love. I truly sympathise, having suffered many times myself. Too much light here for me but I like the idea.

Really experimental you are even with a bad back!! The green roofs really make this shot!

@happypat It was just a matter of not not taking a photo for the day, really Pat! A double not - which is the way my back is still!

@casablanca It is quite a common complaint but like the common cold, causes great discomfort! Thanks MsC!
