Ballerinas by maggiemae

Ballerinas

One of our blossom trees is particularly beautiful and my iPhone enables such good focus.

Thankful for:
My leg surgery was feeling like I had been kicked by a horse but then.... the local anaesthetic wore off and now it like I've been bitten by a shark! You say, what's that to be thankful for? Well its not been bitten by a shark - just a sharp knife which means it will heal so much better!
You are so right about your iPhone, it could not get any better. Wishing your leg a speedy recovery.

It will apparently be at least 3 weeks, Diana and maybe months before I can not upset it.... sigh!

You two are suffering with your legs....you would be ok in a three legged race perhaps! Pain is bad....hope it gets better & you can rest easily. So glad you got it seen to, you have to be so careful with these carcinomas. Wishing you a speedy recovery & no dancing just yet! Lovely blossoms!

@happypat John's leg is really quite amazing! Apart from the huge scar, there is no swelling now and he is quite strong on his two pegs. No racing allowed though!

Beautiful flowers. My pal Judith has similar surgery to you and was also in a lot of pain. The most difficult thing for her was to keep the leg raised and sit still. She is usually so active and spends a lot of time swimming at the pool. It was very difficult for her not to be able to swim for ages. She is fine again now though. The shin is such a difficult place for surgery and I can't imagine what the pain must be like. Hope it all heals soon.

@maggiemae Glad to hear that.....I wondered how he was doing!
October 18th, 2019
@onewing Exactly, Babs! Sitting with the leg is so important though and makes all the difference. My hubby had awful injuries to his left leg some months ago and he was so good at putting his leg up for almost 6 weeks! I still have my laptop and a good book to amuse me!

Ooooh, couldn't be prettier! And high marks for you for realizing the surgery will heal, and on a later date, will be SO MUCH better! (It's why we allow ourselves to be put through these surgeries!)

@Weezilou Because its a skin graft, Louise - we have to hope that it takes. I'm scoffing zinc pills to help!
