Wisteria by maggiemae

Wisteria

More flowers are coming out and it’s nice to see them in focus. Particularly the wisteria which is just outside our bedroom window!
My healing time is going slowly! I get rather bored being in one place with my leg up! Talking with 365 friends helps a lot!
Thankful for:
I could take one layer of dressing off the ‘donor site’ today - it was about to fall off anyway!
A gorgeous image. Keep resting up and get in lots of reading! Get John to drive you somewhere in the van then you can sit with your leg up and watch the world go by for a few hours...

Beautiful image. Having this just outside your bedroom window should more than brighten your day. Hope you get well soon.

Such beautiful lighting on these gorgeous flowers. Hope you are up & about soon.

Lovely. Yes leg up is a pain. Do you have a recliner? That’s where I stayed during the day with my ankle. Hope you get better every day!

What a beautiful shot. I love the colour.

I can imagine how difficult it must be to have to keep as still as you can. I am not a very patient patient. In fact when I had been in hospital a couple of years ago I was supposed to rest my leg after surgery and David bought me a fridge magnet that says 'Oh Lord give me patience but hurry'

A beautiful wisteria and having it just outside your window is a bonus ! Beautiful capture colour and bokeh background - fav. So sorry the time is going so slow for you !! Patience is a virtue Maggie - so much easier to say than to do I know ! Keep smiling xx

A beautiful plant. Love its colour, could do without the scent though especially near a bedroom window. Hang in there, Maggie, time heals all wounds.

Beautiful color, pic!! 365 can be a nice distraction!!

Lovely shot. There are some very distinctive edges remaining after blurring the background though.

It’s beautifully captured and composed. Gosh, you e had a bit of a long lay-up. Hang in there!

@gamelee I am using the iPhone's ability to get less than f2 for these photos, Lee - it blurs what it blurs. I don't have to blur the background. So nice to see!

@onewing Thanks Babs! Guess I have to pull on my reserves for patience!

@louannwarren I have a footstool that I put a cushion on to raise my leg - its got to be higher than my hips!
October 19th, 2019
@dide That's a good idea, Diane - might have to be in the backseat though. I can crack the whip!
October 19th, 2019
@beryl I have a number of recorded films Beryl - they will help pass the time. Watched a great one yesterday - "The Leisure Seeker' with Donald Sutherland and Helen Mirren in it- a thought provoker!
October 19th, 2019
@bruni Interesting, Bruni - this one doesn't have any scent at all. The scent from the jonquils inside is enough!
October 19th, 2019
@ninaganci We really do, Nina - often just stand at the window and admire!
October 19th, 2019
@gijsje Its not been too bad the last couple of days,Bep - but today (Sun) its twice as bad - might have to take some pills!

@ludwigsdiana I have to have my foot elevated in bed for 3 weeks, Diana so that's what I have to expect as recovery time! Sigh!

Wonderful shot, dof

Lovely shot
October 19th, 2019
stunning shot. again, amazing for a phone! i can only imagine how tedious the recovery time is - hope things start to improve very quickly
October 19th, 2019
@pistache I've tried and tried to get this sort of shot with my other cameras and just can't! Its so good to have 365 photos to enjoy while I'm tediously sitting with one leg up!

Lovely.....we don't have wisteria this far north in Scotland so it is always a delight to see photos of it in other places.
Glad one stage in recovery has been reached.
I can appreciate that it's difficult to rest with feet elevated. I read some time ago that our body responds to visualizing exercise when we can't actually do it....so perhaps going on lovely walks to your favourite places ..in your mind....will help the days go by.

Lovely :)

@sarah19 I do like that sentiment, Sarah and some of my photographs would help! I will also visualise myself at yoga, weights and running round the block!

@maggiemae My Chihuahua has the ability to think it is a big dog!
October 20th, 2019
This is such a beautiful image!
October 20th, 2019
@gamelee What it makes up for its small size is the ability to bark shrilly - could drive you nuts, but then you do love them, don't you!
October 20th, 2019
Wow, what a lovely shot! Beautiful colors and dof. Wishing you lots of healing energy!
