Today.. by maggiemae

Today..

We had an 'alert' that thunderstorms and hail could happen in our area. As I took this, thunder echoed for at least a whole minute. No lightning seen. Some short time later the hail started and the noise was incredible - hail as big as marbles!
Thankful for:
No damage. And now a district nurse is coming to our house for dressing changes for me. My wound has changed and more dressing changes have been put into place!
Had a simalar day here today .. Oh dear not good on the leg .. hope it starts responding to the extra dressing ..

@julzmaioro It's caused a few weather tales to evolve! Leg - pain much less, healing a long way still.

A lovely spring garden but under that ominous sky - glad you didn't suffer any damage from the hailstones - they can be lethal !! Hope all is going well with the leg !

@beryl Thanks Beryl! I think my leg is causing some interest with the medical profession - not familiar with what is happening! Must be gremlins in the cupboard, I think!

Beautiful lighting on the scene. So sorry your leg is not healing quickly.

Glad you had no damage from the hail. Leg improving steadily?

@casablanca After nearly 5 weeks, I don't have a lot of pain but the actual wound is healing at the pace of a sloth!
November 18th, 2019
@brennieb I've been on antibiotics for 10 days, Brennie and that took care of the inflammation but the wound still looks ghastly!
November 18th, 2019
Beautiful capture. Lovely greens colour and sky.

November 18th, 2019

November 18th, 2019
@lesip I think the wound has got a mind of its own! It says to itself, "now what shall I do today"!
November 18th, 2019
Glad no damage from the storm. Great that you’re healing!!
November 18th, 2019
Love your garden. Hope your leg gets better soon.
November 18th, 2019
Sorry to hear about your leg. Wondering if a spider bit you. I know we have some nasty spiders here. Was the storm and hail unusual weather for you? We are getting winter weather here. The temperatures we are getting we don’t usually get till January. Sending good wishes for a speedy recovery. Btw love the garden.

@janiskay nope, Janis - it is a skin graft that was put on an empty space where a wicket surgeon took a bite out of my shin! To remove a carcinoma.

Sounds a bit ominous but looks colorfully moody in the photo. I do hope your leg heals soon- that sounds uncomfortable!
November 18th, 2019
Love the ominous look to your garden..............hope you heal up soon!

Good to hear you had no serious damage, read in the morning (digital) paper that poor old Christchurch had been hit by a tornado. They seem to get all sorts of disasters. As for your leg, it all sounds a bit worrying to me. Hope all is OK.

@maggiemae Interesting comment MM. I've found the iPhone takes some subjects better and/or more easily than my X-T2, especially in iffy light.
November 19th, 2019
@golftragic The only thing the iPhone is not so good at is zoom.
November 19th, 2019
@maggiemae Very true MM, and if you use digital zoom it's rubbish.
November 19th, 2019
@maggiemae I've got a 7+, not ready to shell out for the newest one - yet.
November 19th, 2019
@golftragic The 7+ is good and John has one. He's taken some goo photos without trying!
