These are not ours - Ours are just being heaped up. But living here in North Otago, the Jersey Bennes are the most prized and in the local markets now.

Mint growing so well in our garden!
That first taste of new potatoes is just wonderful....a big dollop of butter to go with them....a meal in itself! Hope yours do as well...beautiful white colour...are these from the island of Jersey imported or just their name? We import our early new potatoes from Jersey.
@happypat I think that the Jersey side did originate in Jersey but over there are called Jersey Royal. Where the word Benne came from, heaven knows unless it came from the latin, bene - meaning good!
Yummo, love good spuds. My current faves are Kipflers. We have lots of mint too, I've got a heap drying for summer, little paper-bags hanging up in the laundry look a trifle odd, but the place worked.
I will keep the mint with a mojito ;)
