Three cameras, three shots.. by maggiemae

Three cameras, three shots..

I have three cameras and initially tried to capture the back of two vibrant red roses from our window. Then I got really serious and tried to get the best from all cameras. The result.. from three…
Thankful for:
TV programmes like Serengeti! Why go through all that difficulty to being there when one can sit back and appreciate the most incredible photography!
I love the iphone11 one. Even though I love my dsr cameras I think the iPhone create pretty amazing shots. I love my iphone11 pro

Give me Fuji any day! It was always my favourite film to use, so rich for colour.

We will all give you a different answer Maggie - personal taste and all that !! I love the dof and richness of colour of the iPhone , but for the clarity and detail , I love the Sony - nice experimental work Maggie ! fav

@beryl Its good to hear the comments, Beryl - I've been too close to them all to see the difference!

@bizziebeeme The iPhone photo was taken close up, Ms LL whereas the other two were taken using zoom from my window! The iPhone is not so good with long distances!

Intersting experiment, I like the dof of the iphone and the colour of the sony 😉

Each shot is lovely & has beauty...

I love the iPhone shot best.

Every photo has something special that the others don’t. I love each one! Yes we are enjoying travel shows on television more now than ever before.

I like them all! The iPhone sure has come a long way

One of my favorite photo experiments. Changing settings or changing cameras and ... presto! The scene is changed.

Great series of images

Love the iPhone one. I might have to invest!

Bep
Lovely images. I prefer the iPhone.

@casablanca The Fuji is my mirrorless camera and the most expensive!

What a fabulous exercise maggie. For me it’s the iPhone I think just for clarity & DOF. All excellent though, I wouldn’t be ashamed of any of them!

@happypat Red is an especially difficult colour to get good definition, Pat. I just think why use the other cameras when the phone is just as good! It passed the test for me!
December 10th, 2019
Interesting comparison. The DOF on the iPhone makes it the best shot. It also makes me want to upgrade my phone!
December 10th, 2019
It is difficult to compare because they have different dof. The photo from iphone makes the best impression because the flowers pop in front of the background. Talks about the superiority of the camera remind me of boasting about cars.
December 10th, 2019
the new iphone 11 lets you make the adjustment therefore the dof
December 10th, 2019
I like the top one. Well done.

@rontu Thats right, Linda - all you have to do is remember - I seem to scrabble at my phone screen trying to get what I want!
December 10th, 2019
What a good idea - prefer the iphone shot
December 10th, 2019
Well I am prejudiced toward iPhone 11 Pro which is my camera also. I think it has great DoF and very vibrant colors in the focus.
December 11th, 2019
@shutterbug49 The only thing is - I was within 2 meters of the roses with the iPhone and the other cameras were taken from the window using a zoom (carefully)

I love the comfort and ease of using the iPhone. Although it does have trouble with distance, I am very happy with it otherwise. I just have to understand I cannot get a closeup of the moon...but can enjoy others who do on 365! :)
December 11th, 2019
@gardenfolk That's very wise, Ms CC! I think I will adopt this view!
December 11th, 2019
@maggiemae That is the downside, no telephoto, so no moonshots, or bird shots. You have to be right on top of most things. But I do love the way it does flowers and people. Are you finding the ultra wide useful? I am not.
December 11th, 2019
@shutterbug49 No I'm not as well... it stretches the reality!
December 11th, 2019
wow! You mean I should have invested in a iphone and not a camera?
December 12th, 2019
@ninaganci Well, the iPhone can't do long distance photos and also fast speed ones. So I need the other cameras for those!
December 12th, 2019
I love the Iphone shot..............I have the iphone xr and I'm always surprised with quality of the photos.
I'm looking at switching to an Huawei p30 pro phone next time, the Quad-Lens Leica camera with 10x hybrid zoom captures all types of shots in crisp detail and vivid colour. Light or dark, close-up or long-shot!

@radiogirl That phone sounds very superior! We tend to stick with Apple products.
