Behind these somewhat forbidding walls, the Bridge Club hold their many meetings! I've never been one to even learn to play let alone sit round a table with other competitive women! I have a number of friends who do play and this game almost becomes obsessive with them!
Thankful for:
I'm not a good loser - and that suits me!
Might look good on the Black
A very formidable place with that surreal wispy cloud formation ! I have no clue about the game , but my friend Pat a very competitive person is a keen player and plays 2 or 3 times a week !
Very attractive building! I did try to learn to play bridge when I was in the Army. It's a long story how that came about, but once I left that duty station I never played again.
An amazing g shape of cloud there hovering....perhaps shapes of people sitting in rows watching the bridge! I don’t play bridge either & know no one who does...not bridge players in our neck of the woods I don’t think!
@happypat John and I used to play honeymoon bridge which is an easy game. When we were first married, then I'm not allowed to forget when I usually won then lost - and threw all my cards in the air!
It used to be quite a popular card game here but I haven't heard of anyone playing it for ages. I think my grandmother did- but I've never played it. I think I'd rather be on 365! hehe The building though is great for photographing with its high contrast architecture. Great black and white-especially with that cool cloud in the sky. Well captured!
@maggiemae Ha ha, I didn't know what I was doing at all. I just picked my favourite number and put a chip on it for fun! I hadn't even realised I had won until the croupier pushed a stack of chips at me!
have never learnt bridge, and have no intention of learning either
