The future

These packets are designed to be used in the back country after trekking over mountains and by lakes! Not by us though - its lockdown necessities. Will see how it tastes
Thankful for
Didn't see the lovely lake scene on these packets till I downloaded it!
Wow. They seem to have delicious dinner ready packed in there. Not for the older generation though if they are intended for long trekking excursions over mountains.

Enjoy. Our sons say they are great fodder. They even have ambrosia!

I'd rather make my own if I am not trekking through the mountains

Oh my now isn’t this something?! Can’t wait to hear how they taste!

No intention of trekking any mountains ( even if I could ! ) and it would be the last straw before I would turn to dehydrated food - but more than interested in finding out how you get on with them! Good luck !

Sounds very interesting, hope it tastes good.

Guess if you out hiking and are self sufficient, then these packs would be a great addition. I'd definitely want to try them out before taking to the hills though.

These remind me of army ration packs - flashback to my past there! At lesat you will be well fed.

Ooh when you open one can we see it please? I’m not that bothered about food....would be quite happy to eat these or even pop a tablet if it was convenient!! Terrible I know but although I do like a tasty meal...I’m not into food much.

@annied We ordered these as we were running out of food, Annie. Then we found we could get food delivered from one of our supermarkets. However they will last forever - unless they are so delicious that we eat them all!

@happypat I'm fascinated to see what they are like - roast lamb and mashed potato and veggies - is it all mashed together?
April 7th, 2020

@happysnaps We, being over 70's are not supposed to go out at all. If we dance round our property we might fail over a dandelion and then the ambulance would have to come.. Not a good idea

@golftragic Actually if you look at the latest photo - it looks very appealing and I am so impressed. The whole meal without a roasting pan, gravy, pot for potatoes and veggies!

@phil_howcroft Amazing Phil - you might need to run out in the back country with Ruby, open one of these packets after rubbing two sticks together for a fire to boil 2 cups of water!

Interesting selection, at least you aren't going to starve.

@maggiemae Haven't got to today's posts yet, been flat out with an online exercise class with the physio, then several hours setting up stuff in my new greenhouse which involved heaving round some 40 litre bags of potting mix. I'm now thoroughly exercised!!! But look forward to fresh vegies from the greenhouse in due course.

@golftragic Haven't you got a 'good person' to do that heavy carrying? One of the best things about a good exercise day is that you just love to sink into that comfy bed!
