Out of the packet.....! This was one of two servings and perfectly adequate. I could tell the mashed potato was created from dried flakes but very impressive with texture and flavour! The gravy had a hint of mint in it and the vegetables all had great texture.
Thankful for:
No pots to wash!
and...... didn't have to climb any mountains to enjoy this meal!
The meal looks colourful & appetising....potato could have looked a bit stodgy but you added butter so that would make a lovely difference. I would eat that definitely....better than a pill!
@happypat It was really very surprising - almost tastes like the real thing - of course it is the real thing - only all freeze dried! You just add a cup of boiling water to one pouch and a cup of boiled water to the potato pouch.
Looks quite tasty! I, too, noticed the avo as we have a tree in the yard and pick them regularly to keep them fresh on hand. We feel quite fortunate for that!
@Weezilou I'm sure they must be good for you, Louise - apart from being totally delicious, after all they are a green vegetable - aren't they?
"Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids."
@maggiemae -- 12, as om twelve avocados? WOW. You are lucky. Since I'm only getting fresh produce about every other week I have to ration my 3 avocados to last.
