In fog

The welcoming Oamaru edifice is almost lost in the dense fog that lasted all morning! It was good to get a photo where the background usually spoilt it.'
Thankful for:
Making pikelets for morning tea in a toasted sandwich maker! With plum jam and sour cream!

I do love a bit of fog! Pikelets........I haven't heard them called that in years. I usually call them crumpets

@casablanca @jamibann I think pikelets are a thinner version of a crumpet aren’t they? Could be wrong easily.... they sound delicious fir breakfast with plum jam.

@k9photo It does, Kate. There is another at the other end. Oamaru Stone is soft but good for building if its placed the right way.

@happypat Its Oamaru stone, Pat - comes from a nearby quarry. Pikelets are just like a small pancake. Crumpets have yeast in the recipe and a raised texture.
