Around the Oamaru War Memorial the Council have planted poppies which is very apt. They are out just now in the middle of winter so provide a lovely splash of different reds and pinks.

it's been extremely hot and humid here, so winter sounds good. a grass is greener thing.

silkiness is what it looks like to me too, and love the tones of the flowers, really sorry but the frame does not cut it for me :)
