Millhouse Lodge by maggiemae

Millhouse Lodge

The Mill House is an historic stone building built in 1879 and is one of only 3 buildings in the world built of Bedding Hill stone. The Mill House is situated 10 minutes drive north of the Moeraki Boulders and 20 minutes south of Oamaru's historic buildings and blue penguin colony.

It was formerly a flour mill but after extensive renovation and rebuilding has been a hotel and restaurant since.
A varied history of many owners, failed business ventures and even a suicide which is not publicised!
This was for a ONS on the Wednesday 16th but I can't find which ONS it was. Never mind, it can go in the B&W one.
What a lovely old building steeped in history.

Lovely pencil like drawing maggiemae......it could tell a tale by the sounds of it.......a chequered history. It has the name of the town on the door!

@happypat This shot had a lot done to it.... I had to remove four railway and stop signs, the railway itself, telephone pole and lines and an ugly repair on one of the windows! The building does' know itself now!
