The flower of today

showing one a bit further advanced. So many of you said they were wondering what it will be like after I posted my previous shot. It gets longer than this and every little leaf burst along the stalk comes out in a huge flower.

That is a BIG blossom! I think it looks like a Bird of Paradise too- but I'm not sure how big they grow. Maybe there is a "large" version of the plant. Whatever it is I can see how it's going to be spectacular when it's in full bloom. You'll have to do a shot then so we can all be amazed!
