Wee barn by maggiemae

Wee barn

This one was probably built in the late 1800's and still stands strong. I viewed this down a driveway and in front were some fences and a gate! My cloning skills were needed here.
Superb image! What did you clone out?

@grammyn Thank you Katy! There was a heavy netting fence and gate here right where the grass starts. It covered the view of the barn halfway up the windows.

Good job on the cloning- if you hadn't said anything we would never have known! Those cement (??) blocks look pretty sturdy for the 1800's! Nice shot!

@maggiemae Amazingly well done! I am with Ann! If you hadn't said we would have never known, it is just that good!

@olivetreeann Not cement blocks, Ann - they are Oamaru stone, a unique sort of limestone only found here and one other place in the world, in the south of France!

@maggiemae Well, that explains why it's in such good shape! LOL Actually though it doesn't surprise me because a lot of the buildings in Greece and Israel are made out of limestone and the ancient ones are thousands of years old!

A very unassuming little building but considering the cloning done --you have done a grand job ! At first I thought this could not be built in the 1800's as I also thought it to be built in concrete blocks !! but thanks for the explanation of the blocks been of local limestone ! We can not take everything as face value in what we think we see in pics.

Interesting capture. No wonder it has survived with solid walls like that.

You are a cloning master -- there's not a sign of it here, and the building is a lovely piece of architecture and stone/textures.

Wow, you did a great job, Maggiemae!! I can actually see a faint shadow of the diamond pattern of the wire fence, but if you had not mentioned it I would not have noticed it! Love old buildings like this!

Neat shot and looks pretty good for being built in the 1800s

@beachdog In some ways, I feel that it is not genuine but on the other hand I think its perhaps an eye of telling the best story!

Very nicely processed. I like the lighting.

well, it's a great final picture in any event and I feel like I'm seeing the real thing.
