Pukekura Park by maggiemae

Pukekura Park

This fountain in the New Plymouth Park was installed in 1955 to mark the visit of Queen Elizabeth II, the year before. The fountain has 14 spray combinations with its main jet reaching 15 metres! You can turn it on for a display by pressing a button.

A beautiful fountain and perfectly photographed. Very impressive on its own and with the partially visible reflection.

@graemestevens I think this town has got it together when it comes to interesting events/places/recreation!

@maggiemae There's always something going on but unfortunately our local council isn't renowned for its support and there is a high proportion of the populace that objects strenuously to anything new (like the furore surrounding our new art gallery), but we get by.

@graemestevens There seems to be so many artistic endeavours around here in all avenues. We visited Bushy Park which was a really new experience but it was as if abandoned! The difficulty seems to be a bit the same with all councils!
