A Water Lily in my life

I have hardly ever seen a water lily around but at the hotel here there are three ponds with goldfish. I am the only one admiring them! Not sure whether they are called crocus or lilies!

Further research and other friends have encouraged me to decide to call them 'water lilies'

Beautiful. We call little purple spring flowers crocuses and these water lilies. Either way, they are both beautiful!

I thought they were lillies too. Crocuses in the UK are small flowers from bulbs. You get saffron from them. Could be you mean the latin name Colchicum? Anyway, whatever I really like the processing and colours in this shot

@yorkshirekiwi Yes, I saw that word, Carole, Colchicum but we have always called them water crocus. Probably water lily is more identifiable!
