I do like getting these beautiful classical buildings in a photo without pedestrians! Was just lucky in this one but it was taken during the Oamaru's Victorian Festival and there were several groups of people strolling around in full Victorian or Edwardian dress!
Nice picture. I love imagining what the codgers (apparently they are) are doing sittting there blocking the door. I know that reality is probably more drab than the story possibilities.
Good grief! Hadn't thought about earthquakes...something of an anathema around here. Having said that, on Saturday there was one such in Brittany, our region. Nothing felt here, a tickle in the scheme of things and more like alarmist propaganda. Thought to be to due the unseasonally mild weather, the huge amount of stone megaliths deep below Breton soil and the Teutonic Plates.
