As the wine developed and the fruit arrives, the vines are covered with black or red netting. After the harvest the nets are all removed and we watched a big machine moving forward, grabbing the netting, twisting it round then winding it round a reel. In this area some grapes are finished and some are just starting. Depends on the variety. But a lot of pinot noir is around here and also sauvignon blanc and riesling!
