Waxing and Gibbous by maggiemae

Waxing and Gibbous

I shot out last night to get this photo as that was the description!
" Waxing Gibbous phase is when the lit-up part of the Moon grows from 50.1% to 99.9%. It starts just after the First Quarter Moon and lasts until the Full Moon. Waxing means that it is getting bigger, while gibbous refers to the oval-to-round shape."
I'm pleased!
Super shot of the moon. It's fascinating to see all the detail.

A nice shot -- and educational commentary! I'm out trying to prepare for the lunar eclipse tomorrow.
