At some point, someone strung a piece of rope found along the beach on this wooden fence. Clearly others have done the same thing over time. What a bright adornment on an otherwise neutral colored area!
This is at Ferry Beach in Saco, Maine. What a lovely day! it hit 70* according to my car thermometer. I saw it drop to 69* and by the time I could get my camera out and take a photograph of it, it dropped to 68*, still amazing for the beginning of March, in Maine! While we were at the beach, the sun was beginning to set and a low cloud cover began to dull the shadows. What a wonderful time we had!
@paintdipper@grizzlysghost -- Thank you, yet I keep looking at this shot and just realized what it is that bothers me. I should have taken it from the other end of the walkway, so the sand, waves and water was in the background!
(on Thursday, the 8th?) -- @elizabeth264 -- This was one of two days when I felt good! I was down with a sinus infection Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I would have gone out Saturday night, but it didn't work out. Late Sunday afternoon, my antibiotics suddenly* started working! Yay, after two weeks of a virus turning into a bacterial nightmare, I had had enough! I hope you are feeling better, now!
I like the shallow dof and colors in this. I could be going to Ferry Beach next week with a group of middle school students who are enrolled in the ecology program there. I'll have to look for this fence.
@monika64 -- YES, community art! @donseymour -- Don, this is a bit further south of the estuary, there is a large log on the dry/high part of the beach, closer to the grass, it would be just beyond that. @karens68 --- It was, I was so happy when I saw it! "first thought, photo op!" @webfoot -- Thanks Paul, that's cause we are the RIGHT coast. haha.
Love it. The same water may have been in my posting considering when I took the shot, wind, phases of the moon and the Gulf Stream.
Hit mid 70's in CT. Lucky us!
It actually was in the 80s one day last week. We've had lots of warm days! And a couple *really* cold days this week! But 70s and 80s are very common in the summer....and we always have some 90s and a couple days around or over 100. It's usually humid, too...like last week was dry and perfect!
