Reflect upon your present blessings - of which every man has many - not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. Charles Dickens
As the sun was setting in the west, the moon was rising in the east. The full-moon is on the 9th. The sunset, reflected on the clouds in the east and then on the water. It was a gifted moment.
This is reflective in so many ways, Becky. This is a photo that can bring peace to your mind and soul. The colors and the reflections here are truly restorative. Dickens said it well. God shows us every single day how blessed we really are. Thanks for sharing this gift with us.

I've often said, you don't truly appreciate life until you have faced death. This is one of those moments that makes me so grateful I have lived this long.

Thank you John and I really thank you for the fav. If I knew how to change my name on the photo I would - I must have been tired last night ... didn't even spell my own name correctly. I don't think Picasa will allow me to correct that once it is saved. Such are the things of life ... but I will be glad when I learn Elements and I make a watermark layer that can just be repeatedly used. I do have the photo unmarked but then I'd have to delete the one and repeat the upload of the new. Think I'll just leave it.

Thank you Vicki. It truly was a blessed moment. This dock is on the river that is constantly moving because it is impacted by the ocean's tide. It was low tide and the water was still. The sunset was spectacular, but when I turned around and saw the effects of the sunset to the east, I couldn't resist focusing on that. Tonight I'm going for a moon shot. Waiting for the moon to get above the trees around our back deck - need total darkness.

I'm really blessed that you would feel this photo is one of your favorites. Thank you!
Thank you for mentioning that - I was bummed that I didn't quite get the thirds rule accomplished in this.
Thank you Jane.
Thank you all so much.

Thank you Holly, it was all that perfect light.
