Heceta Undercover by mamabec

Heceta Undercover

Major restorative work is being done on the Heceta Lighthouse (Oregon Coast). Right now it is encased in a "cover-up" and the work will not be completed for about a year.

When the weather is really warm in Eugene it pulls in the marine air on the coast and I liked that effect coupled with the work on the lighthouse.
Lovely scene; that sea mist makes it seem quite theatrical.

Gosh, thanks Constance. I have been shooting in manual mode so I didn't do anything but post this. Good thing I haven't learned Lightroom yet because I would have messed up a fine shot.

Beautiful! Sigh - so peaceful. I can smell the ocean air as I type.

Your kindness to take time to comment is appreciated. My goal has been to photograph all of the lighthouses on the Oregon Coast. Between my 2011 Project Album and the current 2012 Project Album I have only photographed 3 of the 11: Heceta Head north of Florence, Umpqua River south of Reedsport and Coquille River in Bandon where the famous Bandon Golf Resort is located.
