Et Voila!

All topped, tailed, skinned and pickled. And now for some lovely cheese and home made bread in a few weeks time!
They look beautiful. Never expected to fav jars of pickled onions! Yes please, cheese and home made bread!

Brought back lovely memories of childhood. My Nanna used to pickle onions and they were delicious. Mum had a grocery shop and sometimes sold the jars of onions in the shop for Nanna. Customers used to collect jars and orders were put in for Nanna's special onions.

I've never had them, and I don't know if I'd be able to since onions and my stomach don't always see eye to eye. But they sure look good in this photo!!

@olivetreeann Thank you ann, perhaps not as the vinegar adds to the acidity. Have you tried onions soaked and rinsed in either milk or water, I believe it removes much of the acidity but then perhaps not worth risking.

Ooo lovely - I can't have Christmas without pickled onions, cheese and crusty bread. I've never made my own, i wouldn't have the patience to peel them.

@mrsbluesky We love them, - blanched for 2 minutes - easy peeling - over in a few minutes and no tears.
@bigmxx Ha ha - looking forward to them hopefully on Boxing Day.
