The two yellow boys!

I have included the lovely Dennis and Norman today for the rainbow2018 challenge as they are yellow labradors. Often people call them cream or golden but their actual colour name is yellow.

I think it's great how there is a range of colours within the yellow spectrum. Dennis is very pale yellow but his ears are quite dark. Norman has always been a very dark yellow from being a puppy. There is a colour 'Fox Red' which is even darker - hence like the colour of a fox.
These are a gorgeous pair. Love the tilt of Dennis' head, really lovely. My parents had a fox red lab called Scabby. He was such a lovely boy ☺ Fav ☺☺

Gorgeous boys, yellow labs seem to have been overtaken by black and chocolate labs these days. As a child which is a very,very long time ago the yellow labs were predominant followed by black, and you rarely came across a chocolate. All our yellow boys were very light in fact I can remember on was called Viking Cream Vic for short, but whatever the hue they are all gorgeous. 🐕🐕🐕

@paul10 Thanks Paul and for the fav. I wasn't;t sure what Dennis was listening to at first. I did make some noise later to see if he would do it again but I just got in at the right time.
@chrisiow Thanks Chris. I love the light ones best - don't tell Norman. Although he does have some light patches in places. We started out with chocolates but I must admit the first time I saw one I didn't;t know it was a lab.
@rumpelstiltskin Thank you Lynn
@casablanca They are very good natured. I don't think any of our dogs have a bad bone in their body. Hubby does train them though to be well behaved. Trevor might not think the same though when Dennis has him pinned down. But he shouldn't torment him - as my late dad used to say - if you play with the bull you know where the horns will end up! Memories - bless him.
@onewing Thank you Babs
@seattlite Thanks Gloria
@lyndamcg Thank you Lynda.
@mv_wolfie Ha ha - they definitely try and often succeed :)
