Gotta love the local chip shop - just up to the village, and you can get the best fish'n'chips in t'world...! (My opinion, obviously...)
I've been running some groove/rhythm workshops all day - really enjoyed it, too... Had two great groups of enthusiastic music students - everyone worked hard, and achieved a lot! In between the two sessions - we did one morning workshop, and one afternoon workshop - I had these chips for lunch with my Dad...
Not a brilliant piece of photography, I think - but enough to qualify for the theme, just about!
Over here, "fries" are a nasty, cheap version of chips - typically bought at fast-food places (Burger King, KFC, McDonald's) or greasy kebab shops... They're usually thin, tasteless, soggy, and generally unapetising...
"Chips", on the other hand, are the real deal - proper, chunky potato chips, cooked properly, and served with salt'n'vinegar... Lovely!

Yeah, they're called "crisps"...
