How times change, eh? This is the main door into Braydeston Church, on Braydeston Hills... (There is no village of Braydeston - not any more... Just a church, surrounded by fields...)
Braydeston Hills is an area of farmland and footpaths, common land, dykes and streams - it's very close to my house, and I remember going there when I was younger, to play with my sister, or with friends from school, climbing the trees, falling in the dykes, getting stung by nettles and scared by the cows... And the church always seemed to dominate the landscape...
Back then, the church was always open... And always empty...!
I visited Braydeston Church today, for the first time in many years... And I couldn't get in! As you can see from this picture, you can go through the outer door into the porch, but no further - the main door is now locked shut with a padlock... I was quite surprised!
have you seen the movie?? It reminds me of the part in the movie when she falls down the hole and lands in the room with doors all around her. she drinks the potion/eats the bread to make her grow or shrink to get to the right size to escape through one of the doors :) this loooks like one of the doors...and at the angle you took it it looks sorta small so in this case Alice would have been slightly too large ;)

Yeah, it was kinda weird to find it locked - guess I've always just thought of churches as being very "open" places... But thank you! :)
