Saint Eustorgio - what a name!!!! - belltower, Milan
I had to look this one up, and found that Eustorgio was Bishop of Milan in the 4th century. How old is this church?

This is really interesting, thank you Mara. The Three Kings are one of my favourite parts of the Christmas story and I often wondered what happened to them. I see (from another Wikipedia site) there is an annual medieval costume parade in their honour in Milan on January 6th - that would be interesting to see.

Very interesting POV, Mara, makes it very mysterious! What I also found interesting in the link that you have supplied, is the Magi-link with Cologne's magnificent cathedral, and the similarity in style between this church and Santa Maria delle Grazie, home of L'Ultima Cena.

Very clever, and a fav. I particularly like the central positioning of the tower. I think that central positioning of subjects that have strong symmetry works so well, I belive it is starting to be in vogue a little with those brave enough to ignore the thirds rule.

@ericdibosco Sì, Eric, una cattedrale con una storia interessante. The skinny branches hiding the belltower and the dark sky caught my eye.
