Eagle in the Wind

I enjoyed a boat ride on the Connecticut River and saw many osprey and eagle nests. I am still going through my photos, but I was far away from the birds I saw, and I doubt I captured much with my camera. The best part of the cruise came at the end, though, when we saw an eagle leave its nest and fly up the river a bit before landing high in a tree on the bank. The tree was near where the river cruise ended, and we were able to go over and shoot photos to our heart's content before it flew away about 20 minutes later and returned to the nest. We were all thrilled to get such a view of an eagle.
Excellent capture, Marcy. He is impressive looking.

Wow, wish I could see one! His feathers look all ruffled, perhaps he is a juvenile. Fav.
