Sand Dollars

Saxa van Eijnsbergen @overalvandaan challenged me to create an image of something white on a white background for the Get Pushed Challenge. This is my first time entering the Get Pushed Challenge, and I am happy to give it a try. I also tried some popcorn that came out pretty yellow and a closeup of a bride's veil from a ceramic figurine that had some dark shadows, so this one ended up being the one I liked the best.

Thanks for your views and comments -- always much appreciated.
@overalvandaan Here is my "white on white" image. Thanks for the challenge.

Love the detail (though I admit that at first glance, I thought I saw an alien.)

Really good Marcy! I like the depth of view created, which is difficult with same coloured background. Great detail on the sand dollar. Regarding turning yellow, I don't know if your camera can control white balance, but you could experiment with that (to get more white, than yellow). Some camera's have the option like incandescent, tungsten, and florescent.

@houser934 Thanks, Kathyn -- ha ha on the alien. Now I see it.

@overalvandaan Thanks for the feedback, Saxa! I haven't played around with white balance settings in my camera, but I do sometimes tweak the color in Lightroom. I'll look into the camera settings.

Oooo...nicely composed. I like the almost abstract feel. Took me a moment but then the shapes popped out at me. I love sand dollars.
