Day 817 = Decorah Eagle by markbuehl

Day 817 = Decorah Eagle

photo 814
We are on a road trip to Decorah Iowa to see the famous Eagles. This is either the Mom or Dad and they just brought in a fresh squirrel for dinner for them and their three little ones. This is not a great shot, since the tree they have their nest in is on private land. We have to be at least 200 meters away. I could see them better by using my spotting scope, but my lens does not meet the standards I needed to capture the Eagles well. You can watch them at:

Great shot. Just got my 300mm lens. Excited about going out to trying something like this. That's great for 200M.

@fernessa1955 - It is the first time in the Decorah area and we are having fun. We will be out to see the Eagles every day we are here. It is a nice area and lots to do.

@mwarren365 - I will have to get a better lens. I had my spotting scope along and wished I could have hooked up my Nikon to that.
